Alacrity Africa Projects was founded on 11 June 2020 on a rainy Cape Town day, by Co-Founders Meagan and Boithabiso. Lauren joined the team a few months later, together they built Alacrity Africa on the determination that something good would come out of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Meet The Team
Three South African women, united by a simple belief: that they could support and uplift business through their collective effort. In year one alone, they placed in the top 10 of a prestigious Volkswagen competition, bid on multi-million rand tenders, and championed a growing community of loyal small business clients.
Co-Founder & Director, Managing Director
Meagan Richards is an international event management specialist focused on the delivery of high level diplomatic and development focused events across Africa.
Since 2019, she has led the execution of complex conferences and exhibitions involving global institutions, government ministers, and international delegations requiring a high degree of precision, discretion, and stakeholder alignment.
Her approach is grounded in a simple principle: trust is the foundation of every successful event. Through this lens, Meagan has built a reputation for delivering under pressure, managing complexity with clarity, and creating environments where meaningful connections can take place.
As the Co-Founder of Alacrity Africa Projects, she is also deeply committed to enterprise development and the advancement of women in the events industry ensuring that every project contributes not only to immediate success, but to long term impact.
Sales & Marketing Director
Boithabiso Motjotji is an agile entrepreneur, situational leader distinguished by her proficiency in establishing order within complex, high pressure environments. She draws upon over a decade of experience in marketing and sales.
Her professional foundation is established globally within the maritime industry, cultivating a stabilizer instinct and the capacity to manage high volume logistics and diverse stakeholder interests with composed, focused precision. Boithabiso has emerged as a respected figure in the events and marketing sector, valued for her brisk and cheerful readiness.
Beyond her executive role, she is a committed advocate for female empowerment and the development of small businesses. She is also an enthusiastic outdoor adventurer.
Co-Founder & Director, Design Department
Cape Town born creative designer with over a decade of professional experience in the Exhibition Industry. With a strong 5 year academic foundation in creative art. She brings a refined and strategic approach to her work, complemented by a particular expertise in graphic design.
Known for her positive spirit, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to excellence. She is deeply passionate about design in all its forms and is both goal and ambition-driven, consistently striving to deliver innovative and impactful solutions.
Her love for nature and energising environments fuels her creativity, while her genuine passion for people allows her to connect meaningfully with clients and their brand.
